A Good Old-Fashioned Day at Home

I love my babies. I love my husband. I love my Lord. I'm sitting in my spacious, bright kitchen, surrounded by so many blessings and I want to write them down, remember them.

Monkey is running around in just a diaper, reveling in his toys and his swiftly pattering little feet, alternately entertaining Sweet Girl and terrifying her with his antics.

Sweet Girl is my warm, sweet little chunk of arm candy - sitting so content - while I stir a pitcher of tea. She peers down into the sunny sink, looking at the light reflecting off of the few dishes therein.

My new little fruit trees are freshly rained upon and now the sun has come to warm them.

The garden is disked and the fresh, loamish clay dirt turned upside down in clods, waiting for the tiller to break it to a fine garden soil.

The Steward is making overtime today, his pleasure at such a prospect outweighing the fatigue of it. I'm happy that he is doing well with such a workload!

There are projects ahead, but not looming ominously, so we have work to look forward to.

I am reading and studying Ephesians, learning about God and myself.

I am so blessed.
