Quick update: being nearly 38 weeks, I am measuring to 37 weeks (give or take 2 weeks, of course), Baby's heart rate is 132 bpm, she is low (this time somewhere between -1 and -2 station) and still engaged, and there is no thinning or dilation yet.
Labor is not imminent, in other words. But tomorrow is another day! Perhaps I shall go for a very long walk. ;)
I think the suspense is getting to the Steward. It seems to drive him to distraction when he can feel a little foot under his hand, but can't see it. It is also a great source of amusement to him to watch or feel her do some sudden, violent movement and hear me suck in an astonished breath and squirm to get her to quit. :P
We are both anxious to meet her. And to know what her name is! I'm glad we've not been telling, because the one we thought it might be for many months now looks like it may not be her name at all... and now there's a few more to try on our tongues and wait (as patiently as we are able) to see her and know what her name ought to be! Perhaps you could be praying for us in this - along with a safe, natural birth, a healthy Mama, Pa, and Baby, and God's favor on us in the whole process.
