Little House, Little Tree

My beloved Steward has chopped down a Christmas tree for me! Last week he and BJ went out after dark, so they wouldn't be mistaken for young bucks (pun is most definitely intended), and brought back a huge tree for the Big House and a little tree for the Little House. I hadn't found the time to decorate it though, until yesterday. I'd been too busy on other projects. (Pictures will have to wait until after Christmas! The commissions are for gifts. Tally so far: 2 handbags and 5 aprons.)

The tree stood out on the porch all weekend, and I would glance at it as I passed thinking it was perfect, but on the smallish side. But now that it's in the living room, it is a scant two inches from the ceiling and quite impressive for this modest little room. :)

Look at all the ornaments! I unwrapped memory after memory from Momma, Grandma, Nemmy, Hannah, Julie, Lynne, and Sarah.

This bothered the Steward, but I can't see how it's much worse than lopping off a perfectly good young cedar to die in our living room.... but I trimmed the branches to make a tidier, thinner tree. :)
