Originally, Husband did not wish to find out at the 18-week ultrasound appointment. But, he is a very patient and kind spirit, and he was willing to know for the sake of his wife and her great curiosity. But, Baby had other plans.
At the appointment, the ultrasound tech was chatting with us while she was prepping for the scan - "Yes, usually I can tell. It's only every few months I'll get a rare one that I absolutely cannot coax into showing me." Later in the process.... "Uh, you're the rare one." Baby was cross-legged, tucked into a ball, and facing the deepest corner of my hips. And nothing would make him/her budge or uncurl. Alas. Baby Taylor was obstinant - or modest.
But, today I had my 24-week exam, and I explained to my doctor that my husband and I couldn't afford another ultrasound, that the tech couldn't figure out what Baby's gender is, and would you please take a quick look? And he did!
It's a GIRL!!!
I thought so! Husband thought so, too, separate from my thought. My brother is correct, too. But then, he wanted a niece anyway. ;)
So happy! A daughter!
